The RNGIM programme aims to prepare the Auckland Metro Network for the increased number of rail movements that will occur once the City Rail Link (CRL) opens in late 2024.
RNGIM is designed to accelerate any outstanding capital projects and asset upgrades to help de-risk the network performance and improve resilience before the CRL is commissioned.
This ongoing programme of works is delivered through site-specific work packages throughout the Auckland Metro rail system. In every case where Martinus has been awarded a work package, we have delivered that package on time while meeting or exceeding all quality, safety, and budget requirements.

- Enabling works
- Services location and protection via test pits
- Formation works
- Drainage works
- Ballasting (bottom and top)
- Track removal and installation as required
The RNGIM works are ongoing and are undertaken often during weekend Block of Lines. This requires comprehensive interfacing and planning with the KiwiRail operations team and other contractors that are engaged in delivering works on the KiwiRail network. We also ensure other project teams working on KiwiRail deliverables are enabled to achieve their objectives alongside those of RNGIM, and support KiwiRail’s long-term objectives across the region…
